During pregnancy it can be very hard to find effective treatments to assist with nausea and vomiting, studies have shown that acupuncture is just as effective as anti nausea medication.Below is a list of therapeutic remedies that may assist with nausea and vomiting

Ginger:

Warming to the abdomen, women find it very useful to have during pregnancy as a tea or used in cooking.  Slice a piece of ginger and steep it in your tea or alternatively, you can buy ginger tea bags from your local health food store.
Chen pi (citrus Reticulata) is a Chinese medicine herb which is available at you local Chinese grocery store. It has a very similar effect to ginger in terms of helping elevate nausea.

Cinnamon:

Can be used to assist with nausea as it has a warming effect on the stomach

Acupuncture:

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and during pregnancy it can be very hard to find effective treatments to assist with nausea and vomiting, studies have shown that acupuncture is just as effective as anti nausea medication.

Peppermint oil:

Commonly used for the relief of headaches and migraines, women who are pregnant will need to use this essential oil with caution, however if you place a couple of drops of peppermint on a tissue and inhale the smell can reduce the nausea.
Peppermint tea is also beneficial to have as it can also reduce nausea sensation

Lemon:

A freshly sliced lemon and any citrus smells can assist with pregnancy

Dried nuts, walnuts, almond and chickpeas:

Ensuring that you snack throughout the day is important, dried nuts are great to keep in your in bag in an occasion when you’re out and get a sudden wave of nausea it can help settle your stomach and ease the nausea.

Control breathing:

Take a deep breath slowly through the nose and exhale through the mouth. Yoga is great way to practice your breathing techniques, it is extremely beneficial during pregnancy not only is it a great way to do exercise, it is very calming and relaxing.

B6 supplement:

Can safely be taken during pregnancy, if you are someone who finds that any strong smell or acrid taste can set off the nausea, Vitamin B6 maybe just what you need.

Avoid large meals

Eat small meals through out the day, remember to always be seated in a upright position when eating to avoid reflux

H20 water

Most importantly stay hydrated remember it is important to take small sips of water through out the day rather than flooding your system with water, your body is more likely to absorb the water. It can also be beneficial to avoid drinking any fluid with your meals as it can dilute the food in you stomach and make it much harder to digest.
